hello guys.. Been so long i nvr update.. Since erm.. Monday.. So, on the 16 of Dec(Tuesday), I have takraw training. Start ard 2 and played at parade square.. And I played takraw like shit man.. Losing to the 'C' boys.. And there was 2 reason why I played like shit. Firstly, played at parade square.. The parade square was uneven so almost lost my balance.. Secondly, there was one incident which makes me pissed off.. argh man.. Juz hate it.. I think that was the most frustrated training i've ever been.. I would like to apologise to all my takraw members for giving that attitude.. Sorry guys.. On wednesday, nothing much happened. Stayed at home and watched football! Lions vs Vietnam. Vietnam played really good. Lions showed their worst performance in the cup.. Its was lucky for the Lions to walk off with a goaless draw.. On Thursday was the last takraw training for the holidays.. As usual, did some warm-ups.. Then, we rested for a while.. The coach later talked to us.. A lot of things linked to takraw.. Gave some advice, stories and jokes too!! haha.. He talked to us like 30 mins.. Then did our training.. And the coach said that i've improve.. HOORAY!! I think because the coach gave some inspiring words to us.. haha.. COOL man.. After training played soccer for a while.. 'N' Level results and my sister passed! Congratulations! On Friday, nothing much happened.. On Saturday, went to my madrasah to buy books.. Got the report book and got 4th in class.. good job.. No CCAC meeting.. Cancelled for dunno what reasons.. On Sunday, went to watch Lions vs Vietnam at the National Stadium.. Its been 10 years that I never stepped inside the National Stadium.. Went with Rusydi, Nafis and Zawir.. Met at Jurong MRT then went straight to Kallang.. Crap along the way. Reached there saw a lot of Singapore fans and some Vietnam fans.. Walked to National Satadium and its packed!! Reached there then i realise that we cannot bring plastic bottles inside.. I brought 3 plastic bottles but I was lucky that they did not check my bag.. haha.. Went inside they play some songs and we sit near the Vietnamese fans.. haha.. The Lions did their warm-up.. HOORAY!! Cool man.. Then, waited for the game to start.. I was really good to see the LIONS playing in front of you; inside a 55'000 crowd stadium :) The game was really exciting.. But not until those Vietnam players scored the goal.. Sad.. To cut the story short, the Lions lost :( But Lions really displayed a good fight; creating lots of chances with their 'never say die' spirit.. But what happens after the match remains a mystery.. I'll be updating about it.. On Monday, I was still depressed because the lions were defeated.. Gotta go to sch because I have PA Training.. Check systems, including the new indoor sport hall.. That day I was really sad becsuse the Lions lose(as i've said earlier) No takraw trainings on tuesday.. Cost: $43. Blue adidas shirt no. 8. haha - Saw the Singapore National Football Team Jersey - $50 only!! Thursday - Takraw! Get a chance to be tekong(server). Good job Hisyam!! :D - Still sick! - After training, went for futsal training at sch field Friday - Takraw again! played tekong and striker.. Hooray. Ace 2 positions!! - Friday prayers with takraw boys.. Then played takraw again!! Saturday - Futsal!! (will update on that) - Singapore vs Myanmar 2nd telecast. Ok.. So long nvr update.. Gonna update on the NCL - Futsal U-14 competition.. On 13/12/2008, it wasn't an ordinary day. Cause on that day, I'm participating in the futsal competition!! Hooray. My 1st competition. So, I met my futsal team members at the Yew Tee MRT. As usual, Fauzi was late.. So, waited him for like.. 15 mins?? Then he told us to go first.. So, we went to Boon Lay MRT and waited for Fauzi. Saw some teams there. Crap for a while then finally, Fauzi and his manager came.. I mean our manager. Last minute one.. Our manager was Farid, Fauzi's bro.. Then we took a bus(dunno what number) to FICO.. Reached there then we realise that we were almost late! Haha.. So, at there, we went to the organisers to tell that we already came.. My team name- Smokers FC.. haha.. Stupid rite. Fauzi chose it.. Anyway, we are not smokers.. Perhaps, anti-smokers.. So, as we walk to the futsal pitch, some of them recognised us - by calling us Smokers FC.. Oh man. How they know us.. Ok.. Here are the players of my team(I shall not repeat Smokers FC) Team: ------- FC Players: 1. Yu Wei(GK) 4. Rafi(V-C) 6. Ikhwan 7. Fauzi(C) 8. Hisyam 9. Pravin 10. Amirul 14. Faiz Syaddad Manager: Farid So, team captain was Fauzi, vice was Rafi. No coach. 1st Game Starting 5: 1. Yu Wei(GK) 4. Rafi 7. Fauzi 9. Pravin 14. Faiz Syaddad Full time - WON(1-0) In our first game, we are competing with Dream Team 14 FC.. Actually, our game was supposed to be at 12.45 but many teams won because of walk-overs.. There were about 2 teams which won because the other teams did not show up.. I was in the bench with Amirul and Ikhwan. Finally, the game starts.. So, the game was a hard one.. Almost all supporters were against us; except for some.. Rusydi, John, Faruk and Farid were like our managers. They support us. Those Dream Team 14 FC played a dirty game.. They have a lot of supporters and they also have a coach.. They fought hard against us.. Their supporters were like critising us badly seh! They even asked the ref to give us a yellow card for playing dirty.. But we didn't!. they played attacking game so, Fauzi had to play on the defensive side.. We finally scored a goal.. Syaddad kicked the ball directly towards the post and the ball came back to him.. So, he juz pushed in the ball.. Cool goal.. At least the crowd were silent for a while before their coach shouted at them.. The game continued.. Not long after, Pravin subbed out. My turn to play.. haha. So I played as a striker.. got the ball and I juz rammed it; without giving a chance for them to get it.. I almost scored a goal. haha. but i missed it cause i was twisting and turning and finally lose my balance. Oh man.. haha.. Then, there was another painful incident.. i was dribbling the ball then suddenly, two players came charging towards me and tackled me.. obviously, i fell.. got a free-kick.. everyone was like saying that was a bad tackle. i survived a bad tackle! YEAH! As I said earlier, my team was badly critisied.. I was critisized too! I heard one of the saying: "Eh, that no.8...." I didn't listen cause it was too noisy.. My head was in the game. Finally, the ref blow his final whistle.. Yeah, we won!! Teams who supported us juz congratulated us.. Our Fanclub(Rusydi, John, Faruk, Farid and two other guys) told us that we played very good. HAHA.. 2nd Game Starting 5: 1. Yu Wei 4. Rafi 7. Fauzi 9. Pravin 14. Faiz Syaddad Full Time - WON(2-1) For the 2nd game, we were mentally prepared.. Same starting 5s and forgot which team we played with.. Good game.. No teams were against us.. Their team have a coach, we have a last minute manager.. Not long after, Pravin was subbed out again.. I went in.. But what I hate the most was I missed an open goal.. Stupid seh.. Fauzi assist the ball but I juz couldn't get the ball into the net.. Argh.. Frustrated.. For a while, I couldn't forgive myself for not scoring until we scored a goal.. I forgot who scored the goal.. Then not long after, we were leading 2-0.. Hooray. They got a consolation goal. Game finish.. Rusydi asked me how in the world have I missed the goal.. I juz said that I'm not good at scoring; cause i'm a defender.. 3rd game Starting 5: 1. Yu Wei 4. Rafi 7. Fauzi 8. Hisyam 14. Faiz Syaddad Full time - WON(4-2) I got into the starting 5 on the 3rd game. Cool man.. Our opponents were big guys. As usual, they got coach.. So, we scored the first goal.. Guess who scored the 2nd goal?? Its me.. haha.. It's a Fauzi-assist goal.. An easy goal.. Like how Agu scored goals in the AFF Suzuki Cup.. Happy man.. My first international goal.. haha.. Not long after, they score a goal.. I subbed out.. Pravin replaced me.. Then, we scored 2 goals before Fauzi and Rafi subbed out for Amirul and Ikhwan to have a chance to play. They managed to score a consolation goal in the last minute. Game ended. Quarter-final Starting 5: 1. Yu Wei 4. Rafi 7. Fauzi 8. Hisyam 14. Faiz Syaddad Full Time - WON(3-1) As we won all of the first 3 matches, we skipped round 2 and automatically went to the finals. Cool man.. Our opponents were All Blacks FC. Its their team name.. They had no coach, like us.. Winning this game means that we are off to the semis; where we would get prize.. Yeah..So, I was in the starting 5 and the game was a nice one. No yellow card or hard fouls.. However, they scored the first goal.. Sad man.. But we never give up.. Then, we scored an equaliser. I'm happy :) Second goal, i scored.. Again, its a Fauzi assist goal and I scored with my left leg.. 2nd goal of the day!! 3rd goal was scored by Fauzi... Free-kick goal.. haha.. After that, I'm out of the game.. I was being replaced by Pravin.. Waited for the final whistle and it finally came after 10 minutes.. We are off to the SEMI-FINALS!! :D Semi-final Starting 5: 1. Yu Wei 4. Rafi 7. Fauzi 8. Hisyam 14. Faiz Syaddad Full time - WON(3-2) After the quarter-final match, Ikhwan's father bought us Pizza, banana and mineral water.. haha.. Ate and then after a few minutes, our semi final match started.. What was that man?? After 5 minutes, we need to play again?? So little time to rest.. And when I walked in to the futsal pitch, I was still swallowing the banana that i ate.. haha.. Before the match started, the FAS-approved refree told us to play fair.. I think the refree is very good.. haha..I think our opponent was 'D' United FC.. Got coach some more.. Match start and they were really good.. Eventually, we scored the first goal.. Forgot who's the goal scorer.. They equalised back and we scored back again. Then, there was one part where I surely won't forget.. The ball came bouncing on to me and I gave a rather weak shot on goal.. The keeper manage to save the ball but the ball juz went through him. It was a weak save. Obviously, i scored.. haha.. From half-line. Hooray!! Ikhwan's father told me to slow the game down.. haha.. 3rd goal of the day.. Pravin replaced me afterwards and after a while, 'D' United FC scored another goal.. Waited for the final whistle cause I am worried that those 'D' United would score an equaliser.. But the refree blow his final whistle and we won the game.. FINALS, HERE WE COME!! Final Starting 5: 1. Yu wei 4. Rafi 7. Fauzi 8. Hisyam 14. Faiz Syaddad Final score - LOST(1-3) We had about 15 minutes to rest before playing the final game.. Finals - for the 1st time in my life!! Our opponent was WSA Super Reds FC.. Upon hearing that, I knew that they were very good.. They once won the U-14 championship.. I don't know what championship but they were featured in the newspaper for being the champion of that championship (complicated yeah..) The refree was the same refree in the semis game.. Start off and they were really good.. They rammed the ball everytime.. Their skills were 1st class.. Their tackle were very rough.. but we scored 1st.. Haha.. I really hate them for playing rough.. They pushed us and had hard tackle on us.. I got tackled; a lot of times.. But they did not get booked for all that hard tackle man.. We even tackle them; but not that hard; they dived; and told they refree to get us booked.. What the hell!! I was frustrated but I kept cool.. There was one part where i was being tackled.. It was not a hard one but i dived because i was frustrated they way how they played.. We got a free-kick but couldn't score.. They equalised and scored another goal before I had cramps on my left leg.. I was subbed out.. Pravin replaced me as usual and those WSA scored another goal :( It's ok.. And when Pravin went in the futsal pitch, he was being tackled. Not one but twice!! and it was a hard one!! I feel sorry for him.. Final whistle.. We lost. Although we lost, we were still happy because we at least managed to go to the finals.. More than what we were expecting.. haha.. Some of our supporters, players and managers(Smokers FC) played inside the futsal picth.. Play for fun.. Waited for the prize presentation.. We obviously got 2nd.. And we realise that we got no trophies or medals.. Got $200.. Wasted.. I was expecting to have either trophy or medal.. haha.. Then went to a nearby coffee shop to eat.. I really enjoy my day there.. We managed to win even though we have no experience in soccer.. haha.. We still managed to win big and experienced boys.. And I would really like to thank our supporters - Rusydi, John, Faruk, Ikhwan's father and some other 2 boys which I don't know their name. They have been supporting us from the starting from the start Thanks to our manager, Farid. Even though he is the last-minute manager, he worked out the team well. Special thanks to Rafi and Fauzi who forced me to join the team.. haha.. I actually reject the offer twice before accepting the 'contract' for the third time.. The players played very well. Yu Wei was the best keeper I ever seen.. NFA rated Rafi was good at defending. Although he didn't score any goal, he is really good in clearing the ball away, so that the opponents couldn't score Fauzi was the captain of the team and he worked out the team really well.. played really good in both defensive and attacking side. Scorer of FIVE GOALS Pravin did not show his true skills in this competiton. He also admit that he didn't play well. Maybe, he was very nervous.. But he was a fast player; who will always troubles the opponents. However, he didn't managed to score any goal Faiz Shaddad was a skillful player; Rafi's cousin.. A footballer at Woodlands Sec.. A key player in our team.. Scoring SIX GOALS in our team. Ikhwan and Amirul did manage to play in the 3rd game only for a while.. Its lucky to have them; they supported us all the way. Thanks guys! As for me, I don't want to comment much about myself.. Think I played really well.. I scored THREE GOALS altogether.. HOORAY.. Couldn't do a review of the match between Singapore vs Myanmar.. Cause I didn't watch 2nd half.. So, there was drama and I missed it for the 2nd time!!(the 1st one was when Myanmar vs Singapore in the 04/05 Tiger Cup).. Nvm.. There's a second telecast.. And I hope it's not on Saturday cause I have futsal competition.. So, in the end, Singapore won 3-1.. And they went into the semis.. So, I guess I'm going down to the National Stadium to watch!! Yeah.. So, about this competition, I am happy and unhappy with some things.. Happy - Alam Shah plays very good.. - Agu also plays very good.. - Forwards are very sharp.. Sad - Defend!! We need to hire very good fullbacks!! - Indonesian fans!! They jeer to agu everytime he gets the ball!! - Myanmar players!! C'mon.. Sportsmanship needed.. That's all i can say. Eh, I forgot.. Selamat Hari Raya Haji!! Gonna update on the Suzuki Cup. AFF Suzuki Cup 2008 Match day 1: Singapore vs Cambodia Finally, i've been waiting for ages for this competition. Singapore has won it 3 times - 1998, 2004 & 2007. So, as the defending champs, Singapore's target is to reach the finals in this competition and Singapore is also one of the favourites to win this competition. Before the match starts, as usual, National Anthem. I can see those Singapore players sing Majulah Singapura with pride. In fact, some of those players are foreign players; in which they become Singaporeans in the FT scheme. That's really good. Here are the starting line-ups: 2. Ridhuan Muhammad (17. Shahril Ishak) 3. Baihakki Khaizan 5. Noh Rahman 6. Precious (8. Muhd Noh Alam Shah) 7. Shi Jia Yi 9. Alexender Duric (10. Indra Sahdan Daud) 11. Agu Casmir 14. John Wilkinson 15. Mustafic Fahrudin(Captain) 16. Danial Bennett 18. Lionel Lewis Full Time Results: Singapore 5 Agu Casmir(44', 73') Mustafic Fahrudin(61')(pen.) Indra Sahdan Daud(71') Muhd Noh Alam Shah(89') Cambodia 0 So, the lions were playing in 4-4-2 format. I was stunned when Fahrudin was the captain of the Lions in which I thought that Lewis would be it. So, the game started off around 6 p.m (Singapore time: GMT +8). Lions started off well, with it main target is to attack. The Cambodian defensive line performed very well but they were not good at attacking. I can say that Lewis had a great time sleeping. Eventually, the Lions scored a goal a minute after Duric's offside goal. And the goal was really messy. And it seemed that Raddy was not impressed by the way Lions played in the 1st half.. Second half seemed to be a wake up call for the Lions. They played better in a sense they started to attack more. However, danger man Duric had to be out of the game because of an injury. He was replaced by Indra, who was not in the starting line-up. In the 61st minute, Noh was brought down inside the penalty box which forces the referee to give a penalty to the Lions.. Fahrudin makes the score line 2-0.. Minutes after that, Raddy proves the spectators that he wants more goals; as he substitute Precious, who was a defender, for Alam Shah, a striker. The game proves to be an exciting one. Then, Ridhuan was replaced by Sharil . In 71st minute, Indra puts his name on the score sheet after scoring a stunning goal. 2 minutes later, The combination of Shahril and Alam Shah almost put the scoreline at 4-0 but the aggressive striker heads the ball towards the post. Luckily, Agu was there to score his 2nd goal of the evening. Towards the end of the game, both sides were exhausted. But not for Alam Shah. His search for his first goal after his 7 month banned was a dream come true.. Jia Yi passed the ball nicely to Alam Shah, who had beaten the offside trap, and scored the goal which ended the match with the scoreline of 5-0. What I can say is that Lions was good at attacking. I'm not too sure about its defensive side.. I watch the match between Indonesia and Myanmar. Indonesia was a very good team while Myanmar was weak at both attacking and defending.. So, I would hope that the Lions will play 4-3-3 format. I hope the starting line up between Singapore and Myanmar will go like this: Goalkeeper: Lewis Defenders: Bai, Percious, Bennett, Noh Midfielders: John, Mustafic, Shahril Strikers: Agu, Indra, Alam Shah :D So, I shall end my post here.. today is 041208. 2moro is 051208. Singapore vs Cambodia!! Yeah.. Anyway, I guess today's takraw training is the funniest.. LOL.. I kept laughing non-stop. Well, it started off with Rafi going inside the general office.. He wanted the FA thingy.. the funny part is that the auntie is quite deaf.. LOL.. Not so deaf but it was funny that Rafi gotta repeat what he say so many times.. Ok, then I stood beside Faez for the warm up.. He asked me this stupid question. Faez: Eh, what is that teacher's name??(He was refering to Mrs Yam) Me: Mrs Yam lah, u dunno izzit?? Faez: But Yam is a name of a vegetable right? Me: Ya, obviously.. Faez: Then, let's change is to Apple. Mrs Apple Me: (start laughing) haha.. Then, for the whole warm up session, I was giggling.. Or perhaps laughing.. :D Ok, then, we trained and trained. After that, match time.. But this time, we played jaru(one-touch takraw;like how we used to play during sec 1's) all the way. Funny man.. Couldn't control my laughter.. Finished takraw, played soccer.. Sec 4's (Rusydi, Hisham, Apit and Hilmi) vs the juniors(Me, Rafi, Faez and Iskandar). Gd match but we decided to end the game cause it was raining.. See, we are good boys :D. Then, while it was raining, we went around the school.. We saw the arrangement for the next year class. And my class is located at block C, 4th storey, juz beside the toilet.. After that, crap at the foyer while waiting for the rain to stop.. Then went to Mac with Rafi, Faez and Iskandar.. Monday's too.. And I've always benn updating this blog with takraw trainings.. Why?? Ok.. And Mr Azman said that we will have takraw outing if we go nationals.. WOOHOO!!! To where?? Either Vietnam or Thailand of Malaysia.. Yeah.. When?? Probably on March hoildays.. And I am confidient that the 'C' boys gonna get in to the nationals. I think the 'B' boys too.. Yeah.. That is really cool. Some say that there will be a HML overseas trip to Indonesia during March holidays too.. =_= Ish ish ish.. But going overseas use a lot of money seh.. Ok. 1 short post bout the new sports hall. W hat's the use of the new sports hall specially used for basketball only?? And 4 badminton courts when there is no badminton as a cca in the school And no takraw courts And i've been wishing there was a new takraw court in the new sports hall But there wasn't What's the point of having a takraw team without a takraw court? In the end, other schools laugh at us for not having a proper takraw court when we host any friendly games Yeah, we know that the worst sports team in USS is Sepak Takraw And the best sports team in USS is basketball U provide a lot of facilities for them But none to us So what they are the best? I know that they are the best and u wanna make them better But in the end, u don't concern about the worst team U make us feel worst than worst. Come on lah Unity. Please get alive.
